New RF and microwave signal generators Keysight AP5000

Keysight Technologies has introduced the all-new AP5000 Series of RF and microwave analog signal generators. The new generators are available in two versions - the AP5001A RF generator with a frequency range up to 6.1 GHz and the AP5002A microwave generator with a frequency range up to 26 GHz. Both models have the best power range in their class, excellent phase noise and compact size.

Key technical specifications:

AP5001A model:

• Frequency range 9 kHz to 2 / 4 / 6,1 GHz
• Output power range -120 to +17 dBm (opt. 1E1)
• Phase noise -130 dBc/Hz (1 GHz, 20 kHz offset)
• Frequency switching speed 20 µs

AP5002A model:

• Frequency range 9 kHz to 12 / 20 / 26 GHz
• Output power range -120 to +23 dBm (opt. 1E1, 1EA)
• Phase noise -130 dBc/Hz (1 GHz, 20 kHz offset)
• Frequency switching speed 200 µs

Both models provide amplitude, frequency, phase and pulse modulation of the output signal as standard. Instrument control is very intuitive via touch screen, remote control is possible via LAN and USB. Users will also appreciate the compact size and weight of only 2,5 kg.
